How we earn

Packing lists and other pages link to shops such as Amazon. Some of these are affiliate links: if you buy after following one, the shop pays us a small commission. You pay the same price either way.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

We do not sell, stock or deliver anything ourselves. The shop takes your payment and handles delivery, returns and refunds. Prices and availability are the shop's and can change at any time.

Packing lists are generated from each destination's season, altitude and terrain. Items appear because the trip calls for them, not because of the commission, and many link to a search so you can choose any brand.

The site may show advertisements served by Google. They are labelled “Advertisement”. We do not choose individual ads and they are not recommendations from us.

Homestays, drivers and tour operators list themselves for free, and we take no commission on bookings. A business can pay to be shown first on the pages it covers; those listings are marked “Featured”. A listing, featured or not, is not an endorsement.

Nobody can pay to change a destination's description, difficulty rating, “why not” warnings, or its place in your quiz results. Paid placement only changes the order of business listings, and is always labelled.
